Natasha Barnes began
her work experience as a Cordon Bleu Chef in Durban at The
Oyster Box Hotel in 1990. She left the hotel industry in 1991
to take up a position as a cookery editor for Your Family,
one of South Africa's leading cookery magazines. In 1996 I
left the magazine and opened her own cookery school for the
previously disadvantaged communities in Durban. Throughout
her life, she has enjoyed painting. During her years in the
cooking industry, Barnes exhibited at local art shows and
small private exhibitions. She became a professional artist
in 1998 and have represented herself at many exhibitions:
(Abu Dhabi Autumn Fair, Atlanta Décor Show, 6th Sense
Show, London, Art in the Park, South Africa, Ideal Home Show,
London, Toronto Artexpo, Canada, and many others.
