Island to Ice is an Antarctic themed science educational collaboration between the University of Texas Marine Science Institute (UTMSI) GK-12 Program, UTMSI Antarctic researchers, and schools in Port Aransas, Texas and Papamoa, New Zealand.
 
This is a collection of the journal entries that the author made on his Antarctic vacation. They are provided in several different organizational forms, and include hyperlink cross-references to other information as appropriate.
 
The National Science Foundation Office of Polar Programs sponsored an underwater photography team to dive out of the US Antarctic Program's base at McMurdo Station, on Ross Island in Antarctica. For three visits in late austral spring, photos were taken on scuba dives and field excursions at locations around McMurdo Sound: Ross Island and the Antarctic mainland. The team was led by Norbert Wu, a professional underwater photographer/cinematographer.
