| Ghana,
Togo, Benin - 2006 |
|
This travelogue
describes the author's trip to West Africa (Ghana, Togo
and Benin) in March and April of 2006. The why of this trip
is was to see a total solar eclipse. Since it's somewhat
absurd to plan a major trip just around a minutes-long event,
the author figured that it made sense to go somewhere that
is interesting for other reasons. |

Ethiopia resembles
no other country in Africa or anywhere else". Its mountainous,
breathtaking landscapes, full of wild flowers and hosting
a multitude of birds; its christian orthodox tradition,
dating from the fourth century, and the kindness and pride
of its people are unique. Never colonised, except during
the 5 year Italian annexation, Ethiopia keeps its freshness
and authenticity.
This site is the account of the author's trips in this extraordinary
country.
